Chapter 3: Meg is outside very late at night and Calvin comes over and he decides to join Meg. Charles wakes up and sees Meg outside walking with Calvin. He comes up while Meg is talking and he decides that he should join them too. A man soon appears. He claims that he is a teacher or more specific, Charles teacher. The teacher claims or says that he was sent to see Meg Calvin and Charles by someone. He is gives all of them an assignment to do that they have to finish. After they had all talked to the teacher they were all done. Then they all went inside and had hot cocoa. Right after they had all finished Calvin left for home. Charles Wallace's assignment is to learn to adapt while keeping himself and being himself. Meg's assignment was to pass three tests. Calvin's was to be unknown as for the teacher claims it was dangerous
Chapter 4: Meg went to meet Proginoskes because she had promised Blajeny that if it wasn't a dream she would meet Proginoskes before breakfast right when the sun is rising. When she first went outside she thought that what had happened the night before really was a dream. Soon after she realized that it actually wasn't a dream! The first thing that meg has to figure out is who the first ordeal is. Meg is telling him that she can always be herself when shes around Calvin and that's a good thing. She also says that mr.Jenkins makes her feel the least herself. They keep talking about Mr.Jenkins for a little while and Proginoskes says that he really would like to see and meet Mr.Jenkins. Proginoskes wants to take Meg to yesterday and he was talking about something called ethros. I find this part a little confusing because I'm not an expert in the galaxy.
Chapter 5: Meg and Proginoskes went to go meet Mr.Jenkins in the school yard. Mr. Jenkins was not very pleased to see Meg. He also obviously didn't care at all about Charles Wallace. He says that Charles Wallace we need to learn to adapt with his classmates. She is talking to Mr.Jenkins and all the sudden he makes a repeat of himself! Proginoskes explains that what he did is called namer. One of them is the real Mr.Jenkins and one is the Ethros. All the sudden three of Mr.Jenkins formed and Meg si so puzzled. She thinks maybe shes just kidding herself or maybe...It could have been just a dream. It was not a dream because Proginoskes says that he needs Megs help to figure out which one is the real Mr.Jenkins. Meg is still relying on Proginoskes to do all of the work though. In chapter 4 we learned that kythe is cheribium talk. Now they are talking about namers and that ou need to know who the person is and what they are meant to be. Proginoskes explains that Ethroi are like falling angels and they can start war. He says that there is war and heaven and they need all the help they can get and he came to Meg Calvin and Charles for help! To help this situation of namers Meg has to tell Mr.Jenkins the four letter word! That 4 letter word is love! Thoughts: 1. How did Mr.Jenkins turn into two people? How is he related to Ethroi? Is that why he ahs hated and resented Meg? 2. Is Meg going to be in A war between Ethroi and stars? Is she going to help Proginoskes?
3. This book is interesting and It really gives me something to think about. What are three ordeals? Im guessing Mr.Jenkins might be the first one?
4. Who will the second and third ordeals be? That will be interesting when we find out! I'm excited to read the next chapter!
Chapter 7: Meg had just figured out who the real Mr.Jenkins was. She figured that it was not at all Mr.Jenkins number three and it especially was not Mr.Jenkins number 2. She figured out that the real Mr.Jenkins was actually the one we thought it would be. He was Mr.Jenkins number 1! At the end after she had figured out it was Mr.Jenkins number one that Mr.Jenkins/ the real Mr.Jenkins had fainted. Now Blajeny the teacher comes over and he applauds Meg for all of the good work that she had done so far. He is yelling at Proginoskes for taking them by surprise. Meg is explaining to Mr.Jenkins about Proginoskes, and Blajeny. She tells him it is ok to open up his eyes. Mr.Jenkins kept having a bucket load of questions. He also just like Meg earlier in this book thought that it was a dream. Meg wants to be with Charles because of his mitochondria. Blajeny refused and he said that no they had to go to Metron Ariston. Right now, I believe that Metron Ariston is a place but we will figure out what it really is later in the chapter. Mr.Jenkins got the chose to go back to the school or come with them to where they needed to go. Meg found herself begging and wanting Mr.Jenkins to come with them! Metron Ariston is not a place its not a planet but it is.... Its an.....idea! A postulatum. They are there so that they can be sized to fight a farandolae! Meg is happy or surprised when she thinks she can see a farandolae. They are explaining the size of farandolae compared to them. I feel that this is a lot of information coming all at one time! Does anybody agree? This is very interesting and very advanced that I find myself stopping and thinking wait...what! What is that?!? Mr.Jenkins regrets having Meg name her and seeing her in this way. He also says he didn't want to be with Charles or as he says "that frightful beast." This can be confusing but we will talk about it in the group tomorrow.
Chapter 8:They are talking about or with..(not really sure) Metron Ariston. They are talking about Charles Wallaces illness form mitochondria and farandolae. They do not know why Mr.Jenkins is or was with them at the time but they said that something must have brought him there because I can tell he is really important in this book. Meg is so passionate about Charles Wallace! They are thinking of many ideas to help Charles Wallaces illness. Meg is in tears. They said they saw the birth of a star! They said that the star was so small it could probably fit in the palm of anyones hand. In this chapter they were shrunk and they went on a trip into Charles Wallaces mitochondria. Meg was panicking when she was in his mitochondria because she couldn't think move and she could not touch. Meg hasn't really ever changed and I'm waiting to see how she will change later in this book.
Chapter 9: Meg is still in Charles mitochondria. Meg had gotten Xed they had thought at the end of chapter 8. She was trying to be able to know her numbers and she was also calling out for Calvin and Progo. I think it is really weird knowing that Meg would be in her brothers body trying to help him. One of the Mr.Jenkins follwed all of them into Charles mitochondria. Meg Calvin and Proginoskes are kything back and forth to each other. Every single mitochondrion in Charles body is in big danger. They are talking about farandolae back and forth and what is going to happen since everything is in danger. Meg has to touch Mr.jenkins and she has to love him again like she had done before. They are trying to help and fight for Charles without hurting him. This is very interesting! I wonder if Meg is going to be the one to cure Charles Wallace. At the end Meg gives in to Mr.Jenkins and says Mr.Jenkins I love you! Then she really did love Mr.Jenkins and everything had become real.
Chapter 10: They are still in Charles mitochondria and everybody is in farandolae time so nobody notices that they were gone. Charles heart onlt beats once a decade. Meg was noticing in taliing to Mr.Jenkins that he was opening up to Meg more then he ever has before. Meg is explaining things to Mr.Jenkins and he doesn't think Meg should know all of the stuff that she knows about Charles and his mitochondria and farnadolae etc. Its funny because they say that all the creatures, stars and everything has to be known by a name. It seems that Mr.Jenkins doesn't want to get involved in everything like the farandolae. Meg remembers her and Calvin walking in the forest one night. She says that all the time she always wonders if the wind blowing in the trees is like the trees talking to each other. Mr.Jenkins says he never thinks of that and it seems he diesn;t have a great imagination. I don't think Mr.Jenkins likes imagination because probably to him that is childish. Calvin thinks that a science project he did could help Mr.Jenkins understand. How come Mr.Jenkins doesn't want to be involved at all? Why does he not care? At the middle/end they met Sporos. Proginoskes thinks that Meg has gotten really close to Mr.Jenkisn from this experience. There second test is to.................NAME SPOROS!!
